Functional Stylish Durable Mason Jar Glasses With Handles

I am in love with these glasses! I’m a fan of glass cups, although with 4 kids in the house anything that is glass is usually broken pretty quickly…the one thing I take that risk on and use anyway are my glasses.  For the longest time I would buy thicker tumbler like glasses that worked pretty well and fit my needs.  As they are glass and prone to break, my set of 16 glasses dwindled down to just 4 so it was time to purchase some new glasses.  I did a little shopping at Target but could not find similar glasses to the ones that I had, they were pretty but a bit too thin – I need glasses that can take a beating if knocked over.

Enter these glasses from Amazon:

I love Amazon because the reviews are really telling…if a product has negative reviews, why was that? Sometimes it’s just due to the user – “The laptop told me to hit ‘any’ key I can’t find it anywhere on keyboard, where is the any key?!” but often it gives a true depiction of the product.  We’re busy looking around at farmhouse style items for our soon to be built home, so mason jars were definitely on my mind as an option.  I wondered though if drinking out of one (which I wasn’t sure I had ever done), would be weird with the threading around the top of the glass – or if they would be durable enough to hold up to my needs.
IMG_9919Well the answers are Yes, Yes and Yes!  I was super skeptical about having glass shipped to my home, but the few complaints about broken glasses I would have to point to the carrier.  These items were shipped securely and arrived without a single chip.   I have had them for over a month and they are by far my new favorite item.

We had a family party a few days after these arrived and I was super excited to get a chance to try them out.  One family member mentioned “Can we use them? So fancy”…ha! If they only knew!  I got these glasses on sale for $22 for 12 glasses – that’s less than $2 a glass!  Not a single one has broken or chipped.  The rim where you drink from is perfectly smooth (my old tumbler glasses had a few that were sharp in spots), the handle does not allow liquid in it, so it’s super sanitary and they come out perfectly clean (another issue I had with my older taller glasses).

The glasses themselves are not huge, but they hold a good deal of liquid. These are 16oz glasses and have no large visible writing.   They are perfect to use on Chalkboard Labels with to make them even more amazing.  I had previously not been a big fan of fruit in water(chalk it up to laziness), but now I love it and use these glasses all the time with lemon or occasionally lime.   I’ve also seen them used for weddings, on TV, they’re definitely an “in” thing, but at the same time such a classic old item.

Here’s the link to look/purchase them on Amazon – it is an affiliate link (so if you were to purchase them I’d make a small amount that does not increase the price of the item for you) but these glasses speak for themselves!

March 2020 Stay At Home Fun Guide & Calendar

March 15, 2020 By Andrea

With the Coronavirus (COVID-19) shutting down schools and pretty much everything else, I took the time today to schedule out our kids school week as they will be out of school until at least May 27th.  If the schools are shut down longer then I'll add March 30th and start planning for April. I created a daily schedule(not posted here), a daily calendar of activities that we can follow, as well as a stay at home fun guide to make their time off more "summer camp" like.  Unlike holidays where … [Read More...]

The Perfect Gift For Bakers

December 14, 2017 By Andrea

As of last week we really hadn't done much of any Christmas shopping.  I know.  It's not that we haven't wanted to, but it's a year of minimalism and we've been trying to declutter and finish sorting through boxes in the basement from when we moved in 2 years ago. We both have the want to tackle the clutter and projects, but the list is never ending and when you have 4 kids and run a business there really is no such thing as "free time".  I'm sure you can relate.  As we're doing our shopping … [Read More...]

Personalized Place cards for Thanksgiving or Christmas Dinner

December 7, 2017 By Andrea

We hosted Thanksgiving dinner this year and one thing that I definitely wanted to do was create individual place cards.  It's a great way to personalize place settings and avoid confusion as who will to sit where (in our case all the kids wanted to sit next to their Grandparents). I found a simple template online and then printed it on watercolor paper which I had to trim the edges off to be able to fit it into the printer.  The advantages of using watercolor paper is that it is thick enough … [Read More...]

What Do We Tell Our Children When Life Gets Difficult?

July 20, 2017 By Andrea

There's so much good and so much bad in the world it's so often hard to tell them apart. Like most adults I can tell quite a few stories that at the time they were the worst moments of my life. If there's one thing that every human being can relate to it is the constant struggles of life. Then inevitable ups and downs. The highest of highs and the lowest of lows. So what do we tell our children? You tell them this: "Please know that we are here for you. ALWAYS. There's never a time of night … [Read More...]
